Paul Musgrave has taught courses in international relations theory, history and international relations, energy politics, U.S. foreign policy, and politics and science fiction. His research has appeared in Comparative Political Studies, American Politics Research, and PS: Political Science & Politics; he has also published in Slate.
Musgrave’s courses encourage students to go beyond superficial, headline-based understandings of world politics to examine the processes that generate conflict and cooperation. Students in his classes will learn how to write, read, debate, and think more clearly.
Musgrave is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Politics and International Studies at Dickinson College (AY2014-15) and Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst (from September 2015). He received his Ph.D. in Government with a focus on International Relations from Georgetown University in December 2014.
