I am a student of International Relations, though I value interdisciplinary approaches and my work is heavily informed by critical theory. My interest areas include political violence, human security, and international war law. My current research focuses on the intersection of human security institutions and neocolonialism through the lens of sexual and gender-based violence, and asks: How is the category of "victimhood" constructed by central human security actors and institutions? How do these constructions impact global politics? and, How do these constructions impact survivor redress?
