I am a student of International Relations, but I value interdisciplinary approaches and my work is heavily informed by critical theory. My research focuses on the functions of race, gender and sexuality in political violence and its representations – such as in human rights advocacy and global governance. I am particularly interested in conflict-related sexual violence against men, and the causes and implications of its historic absence from the feminist human rights agenda.
