Bio:
My teaching and research interests include the politics of war law, transnational advocacy networks, protection of civilians, humanitarian disarmament, and the role of popular culture in global human security policy. I have a particular interest in the gap between intentions and outcomes among advocates of human security. I work with graduate students who have an interest in international human security norms. In the past, I have hired graduate student research assistants to help me with focus group research, survey experiments and qualitative text analysis. I have co-authored with graduate students on human security agenda-setting, public opinion on the laws of war, and political science fiction.
