Shulman wins "Outstanding Information Technology-Related Work" at APSA

Stuart Shulman, Assistant Professor of Political Science and Director of the Qualitative Data Analysis Program, received an award for "Outstanding Information Technology-Related Work" at the 2011 American Political Science Association (APSA) annual conference in Seattle, WA.

The award recognized Shulman's efforts in creating the Manuscript and Review System (MARS) for the Journal of Information Technology and Politics (JITP), the official journal of the Information Technology and Politics Section of the APSA. Shulman shared the award with Robert Keene, a database developer at the University of Pittsburgh.

At APSA, Shulman, who has served as Editor-in-Chief of JITP since 2006, was also named Editor Emeritus of the journal.
