UMass Amherst Department of Political Science

Political Science Undergraduate Board (PSUB)

>Our Mission Statement: The Political Science Undergraduate Board, under the direction of the Director of Undergraduate Studies, is committed to promoting the interests and viewpoints of the undergraduate student community within the Department of Political Science. The Board's primary goal is the improvement of both the Political Science department and major for the enhancement of the undergraduate experience. Contributions to the restructuring of the major, assistance in the instruction of introductory courses, encouragement of diverse styles of learning, and the organization of educational excursions are the means by which the Board shall achieve its goal. Members of the Board are dedicated to active participation in their major outside of class and are each personally involved in the facilitation of projects, events, and courses planned by the Board. For the advancement of the Political Science community, members work to strengthen the ties between students, faculty, and alumni that all three components of the department may benefit from the Board's efforts. With its faculty support and student leadership, the Political Science Student Board seeks to improve the study of Political Science at the University of Massachusetts and to establish a superior program for future generations of students.
