UMass Amherst Department of Political Science

Advising & Student Services

appointment buttonThe Department of Political Science offers an array of advising and other services designed to help students succeed at UMass, and to take advantage of all the opportunities the University has to offer. Don’t be fooled by that blank space next to “Advisor” on your SPIRE account – Political Science majors simply have too many advising resources to fit into that tiny space.

If you don’t need to speak to anyone just yet, you can read about all the academic requirements and opportunities for the Major and Minor

We also suggest you take a moment to review your ARR -- academic requirements report. Here is a handout explaining what the ARR is and how to access/use it.
