Undergraduate Research

As an undergraduate, it’s not always easy to know how to conduct scholarly research – where do you begin, how do you define your research question, how can you follow through on that research, what resources can and should you access, and how do you know when you’re done? The Department of Political Science offers a number of opportunities for learning the skills necessary for undergraduate research, as well as a variety of resources to assist you in individual research projects. In short, there is no reason to pursue your research without guidance or assistance.

For students seeking additional opportunities and more extensive research, the Department offers a number of Independent Study possibilities, as well as the honors track leading to the completion of a senior thesis.
