New research done by Tatishe M. Nteta, Jesse H. Rhodes, and Elizabeth A. Sharrow, political science, with Jill Greenlee of Brandeis University, finds that men whose first child is a daughter tend to have more progressive views on gender policy issues than men whose first child is a boy. They also find women’s attitudes on these issues are not affected by whether their first child is a boy or girl. (Washington Post [1], 9/14/18)
