Each year the American Political Science Association (APSA) recognizes teaching assistants and professors that have received awards at their college or university for demonstrating excellence in the instruction of political science. APSA acknowledges distinguished faculty members at the organization's annual meeting and presents the recipients with honorary certificates. Additionally, awarded faculty members are featured in an issue of the academic journal PS: Political Science and Politics.
This year, our very own Tatishe Nteta, Associate Professor of Political Science, is being honored by APSA. Professor Nteta has been with us at UMass since 2007, and his work is heavily centered around the relationship between race, ethnicity, and politics. He teaches Introduction to American Politics, Race and Politics, Political Psychology, Public Opinion and African American Politics.
Professor Nteta was presented with an outstanding teaching award by Pi Sigma Alpha, Delta Lambda Chapter, in April 2014 and is shown above with former Pi Sigma Alpha presidents, Lindsay Stone and Allison Bettencourt.
Please join us in congratulating Professor Tatishe Ntete on his notable accomplishment!
