Informational Interviewing and Mentoring Workshop

On average only one out of every 200 resumes submitted results in a job offer, while one out of 12 informational interviews gets the same results! Informational interviewing is the most effective way to find a job, yet it's still unpopular because most people don't know how to do it, and don't think anyone has the time to talk to them. Mentoring is another important tool in career success and is often overlooked or misunderstood. 

This workshop will address these misconceptions and show you how to: 

• determine who to talk to
• recognize which questions to ask and which questions to avoid 
• talk about your background and sell yourself 
• determine who to contact get a job through these relationships
