Please join us for "Emerging Democracies: A Global Perspective on Constitutional Politics." This a panel discussion will explore how constitutions are created, discussed and implemented; how governments and citizens are forging democracy in the Middle East, Western Asia and Latin America; what democracy means to people in different parts of the world; and what impact democratic developments in the international community may have on democracy in the United States.
Panelists include:
Amel Ahmed, Assistant Professor of Political Science
Angelica Bernal, Assistant Professor of Political Science
Frederic Schaffer, Associate Professor of Political Science
Moderated by John Brigham, Professor of Political Science
A public reception will follow.
This educational program, created in conjunction with Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, fulfills mandated requirements for
