Timothy Pachirat promotes new book project "Are We All Phalaris Now? Pleasure, Pain, and the (In)visibility of Suffering in These Modern Times."

Timothy Pachirat has been invited to multiple keynote and workshop engagements scheduled for this Spring. All talks and presentations are related to his new book project titled: "Are We All Phalaris Now? Pleasure, Pain, and the (In)visibility of Suffering in These Modern Times." His events include: Invited Annual Keynote Speaker at CUNY Masters of Liberal Arts Program, Invited Workshop Presenter at the MIT Seminar on Environmental and Agricultural History, Invited Keynote Speaker at University of Washington Comparative History of Ideas Program, Invited Workshop Presenter University of Chicago Comparative Politics Workshop, and a presentation at the University of Toronto's Critical Analysis of Law Workshop (date TBD).
