Haas Explores Governance 'of' and 'for' Sustainable Goals

Professor Peter Haas was an invited participant at the International Workshop on Governance "of" and "for" Sustainable Goals January 31-February 1, 2014 in New York City.

The workshop brought together international scholars and practitioners with expertise on global environmental governance to discuss some key questions relating to the governance of, and governance for, the post-2015 development agenda. The scope of the workshop was on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with particular focus on how integrated SDGs (of development and environmental agenda) could be governed in the post-2015 era. The workshop was intended to provide input into the ongoing international policy process on SDGs, as a part of the Post-2015 Project (POST2015), funded by the Ministry of the Environment in Japan.

The two day research workshop and dialogue with United Nations practitioners was organized by Tokyo Institute of Technology, Earth Systems Governance Project, United Nations University, and the Ministry of Environment Japan
