John Brigham, Professor of Political Science, will be a featured speaker at the UMass Dartmouth Law School symposium "Trends and Issues in Politics & the Law" on March 1, 2013.

Organized by the UMass Law Review, the symposium will feature a keynote address by U.S. Congressman Bill Keating, as well as lectures by Joseph Sandler, Esq. Election Law Attorney at Sandler, Reiff, Young & Lamb; David Boeri, Senior Reporter for NPR Boston; Jay Wexler, Professor of Law at Boston University School of Law; and Teresa Walsh, Lecturer in Law at UMass School of Law.

The symposium will address a range of issues including campaign finance reform, political corruption in Massachusetts, the recess appoints clause, and the Voting Rights Act. Professor Brigham's lecture will discuss "A Political Scientist Looks for Law from the Supreme Court."
