Brian Schaffner & Jesse Rhodes research is used in an analysis on the constituent's views based on class

A news analysis on whether members of Congress represent the views of the poor and middle class or the wealthy includes research done by four sets of political scientists including Brian F. Schaffner and Jesse H. Rhodes, political science. They concluded that poorer constituents were more likely to see their views reflected by their member of Congress than wealthier ones, but it depended on party. Republican members of Congress were more likely to match the views of their wealthy constituents than Democrats were to match the views of their poorer constituents. (Vox, 4/2/18)
