Ahmed Discusses Fix for Voting Rights Act

"Despite paralyzing partisanship in Congress, there’s some movement to revitalize the Voting Rights Act of 1965," says Amel Ahmed, Assistant Professor of Political Science. "The new bill will restore some of the Voting Rights Act’s power – but it is a far cry from what is needed."

Professor Ahmed discusses this and other current debates around the Voting Rights Act in a recent Talking Points Memo article, "Chief Justice Roberts Was Right: How To Fix The Voting Rights Act."
