Interdisciplinary Speaker Series

Distinctive about the way people in this department study politics is our recognition that to fully grapple with important political issues and problems often requires stepping outside of the traditional subfield boundaries of political science. This Interdisciplinary Speaker Series, launched in September 2009, grows out of this subfield-transcending sensibility of the department. The series provides an opportunity for the department community to engage the work of scholars from adjacent disciplines. It thus opens up exciting possibilities for dialogue and cross-fertilization with scholars from the wider academic world.
