Interests:

My interests span the fields of international relations, law, and political theory, and his dissertation research examines jury nullification through the political theory of Carl Schmitt. I regularly teach constitutional law, international law, international organization, comparative law, and political theory (including introductory courses and a seminar on good and evil) both at UMass in the political science and legal studies departments and at Mt. Holyoke College in the politics department. My research interests include theories of the state (and alternatives to the state), democratic theory (including the relationships between individuals and power), and legal theory.

Education:
A.B. in government, Georgetown University; J.D. The University of Chicago Law School; M.A.L.D., the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
